Question: How many persons are on this tour?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
Both the tour director and the driver were superb. We were a very diverse group and the tour director kept us all working together and made the trip very enjoyable and informative. We learned a lot about Germany and the sights and stops were very relevant. In a short two weeks, we got a months worth of knowledge and scenery, so great value for our money. Even the weather cooperated to make the trip very enjoyable. The food, unfortunately, was also superb so we all gained weight!!! I also enjoyed the beer and the hospitality made easy by our tour director's actions and positive attitude.
The trip was very good but too many meals were not included and when they were in some cases it was 2 in a day. Better to spread the wealth. Also there could have been more planned too much free time.
This was our second Tauck trip and it was extremely nice. Hotel accommodations ranged from above average to super great! The bus that provided our transportation was very comfortable and the driver and tour director were friendly and professional. It had a mix of sights to see, from the bucolic (The Black Forest) to exciting cities (Berlin, Dresden) and then, the ones I loved best, the small towns with so much charm (Rothenburg, Oberammergau). The food was delicious everywhere we went, and Tauck certainly didn't stint on their anything-you-want-to-order-dinners at wonderful restaurants! Highlights included the boat ride on the Rhine, tour of Dachau and our farewell dinner at the Reichstag (German parliament building)! If I had one criticism, it would be about free time; there was too much of it! Of course, if you love shopping or long walks, the excess of free time would be right up your alley:)
