Kahului has two attractive beaches and the focus here is on the extreme wind and surf conditions. Wind surfing and para-gliding are world class at Hookipa Beach, this beach is the host to several world class tournaments every year. The sweeping stretch of sand at Baldwin State Park to the west of the small town of Paia is more for strolling and beach life for tourists and locals alike. Kauai beaches are undoubtedly the most breath-taking in all of Hawaii. This smallest but oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands has a awesome reputation for adventure, eco-tourism and great sight seeing. In relation to the size of its coastline, there are more beaches on Kauai than any other Hawaiian Island. There are lovely stretches of sand along the entire west coast, at Poipu on the south coast and between Princeville and the Na Pali mountains.
The surrounding scenery, which is absolutely
stunning, and swimming conditions make all the difference when selecting your
beach destination.
Hawaii is known for having the best surfing spots and Kahului
is the primer spot to catch a wave.
The night life is also the spot to be
with shopping, great restaurants and cool night clubs.
